SWITCHING CLOUD PROVIDER
Switching cloud providers is not as complicated as you might think. It will take you a total of 10 minutes at most and will save you a lot of money if you switch to us now! Especially if you currently have all your subscriptions directly with Microsoft!
The Microsoft 365 platform is set up in such a way that you are free to choose a provider, can easily switch and even have multiple providers at the same time. All subscriptions that you purchase, from whichever provider, come together in your license "pool". You can always find an overview of this in the Microsoft 365 management center under "Billing/Licenses" in the main menu. As long as you ensure that for each subscription the number of valid licenses is greater than or equal to the number of assigned licenses, all your users can work unhindered.
So there is no one-to-one relationship between a specific subscription and a specific user. When you switch providers, you therefore never need to reassign subscriptions to users.
Below is an overview of all the steps involved:
Step 1: Request an account in our DSA Cloud MarketplacePlease fill in the form below, and we will create an account for you in our DSA Cloud Marketplace (completely free). With the account details provided by us, you will be able to add subscriptions or modify quantities 24/7 through our Cloud Marketplace. Subscriptions added or modified via our Cloud Marketplace will be available in your tenant almost instantly.
Step 2: Add Partner RelationshipWhen you request an account, you will receive a confirmation email from us containing a link to add the partner relationship. The partner relationship allows you to purchase Microsoft subscriptions and licenses through our cloud marketplace. By clicking on this link and logging in with the admin account of your tenant, a partner relationship will be established with our Cloud Marketplace. You can have multiple partner relationships, and you can always view them in your Microsoft 365 admin center under "Settings/Partner relationships" in the main menu.
Step 3: Cancel subscriptions with current providerPlease remember to cancel the subscriptions with your current provider. You can also cancel any subscriptions directly with Microsoft without any issues. Make sure to note down the expiration dates of these subscriptions.
Step 4: Re-add subscriptions through our Cloud MarketplacePlease add the same subscriptions and quantities to our cloud marketplace before the expiration date of your current subscriptions. We recommend doing this a few days in advance to ensure a smooth transition, even if your current subscriptions expire over the weekend. If you prefer not to do this yourself, we can certainly take care of it for you.
